Though a person may be guided in many directions throughout their life, it is their totem that stands as the main influence and guardian. For San Francisco designer Nikki Garcia, her first collection stands as her totem, a representation of her influences and ideas in a physical form. Nikki designs and sews each garment out of her mission home and studio which she shares with two other designers. She is currently in the process of developing a new line with a local designer that they hope to unveil within the year.
